Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, June 3: NSS Unit of Govt. Degree College Neeli Nallah, Udhampur, organized an invigorating cycle rally to celebrate "World Bicycle Day." Prof. Hans Raj, the esteemed Principal of the college, flagged off the rally, emphasizing the significance of cycling as a daily activity for physical and mental well-being, as well as its positive impact on the environment and economy. The rally commenced from the college premises, spreading awareness among the masses as it traversed through Neeli Nallah Bazar before culminating back at the college. More than 10 enthusiastic cyclists participated in the awareness rally, raising impactful slogans such as "Cycle Chalao, Petrol Bachao" (Ride a cycle, save fuel), "Cycle Chalao, Sehat Banao" (Ride a cycle, improve health), and "Cycle Chalao, Pollution Hatao" (Ride a cycle, reduce pollution). Dr. Radha Rani, the NSS Programme Officer, played a pivotal role in organizing the rally, ensuring its success. The event saw the presence of Prof. Swati Dutt, Prof. Shaista Yasmeen, Manisha Kanchru, Dr. Imtiaz Bhatti, Dr. Ranjeeta Langeh, Shallu Jamoria, and Pratibha Heer, who actively supported and participated in the event. The cycle rally organized by the NSS Unit of GDC Neeli Nallah Udhampur on World Bicycle Day not only promoted the importance of cycling but also created awareness about its various benefits.
