DC reviews progress of PMFME scheme for food processing enterprises | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, June 3: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya chaired a meeting to review the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme in Udhampur district. The meeting included officers from various departments, bankers, and representatives from J&K Bank. Additional District Development Commissioner Ghan Sham Singh, Chief Agriculture Officer Sanjay Anand, Chief Horticulture Officer Rajinder Kumar, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Executive Engineer JKPDCL, District Sericulture Officer Rajeev Gupta, Area Marketing Officer Anuj Verma, and the Lead Bank Manager were among the attendees. During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of coordination between departments and banks to ensure the successful implementation of the PMFME scheme. He urged officers to work diligently to minimize loan rejections and instructed the establishment of a facilitation center to guide and support beneficiaries. The DC also directed officers to provide regular updates on loan sanction and disbursement for timely action. The Deputy Commissioner highlighted the need for bankers to be approachable and friendly towards PMFME applicants, personally overseeing the reasons for loan rejections. The meeting commenced with a comprehensive overview of the PMFME scheme provided by the Area Marketing Officer, who also serves as the District Nodal Officer. |
