Doda, June 3: Assistant Regional Transport Office (ARTO) Doda, Rajesh Gupta, has taken stringent measures against traffic rule violations in the region. During the month of May 2023, several driving licenses (DLs), route permits, and Registration Certificates (RCs) have been suspended for contravening traffic regulations. Three driving licenses with registration numbers JK06-20210001965, JK06-20210001411, and JK06-20210000481 have been initially suspended for a period of three months. Additionally, the RCs of vehicles bearing numbers JK06B-3087, JK06B-2513, JK06B-4612, JK06-8034, and JK06A-8479 have also been suspended for three months. Furthermore, the route permits of JK06B-3087 and JK06B-2513 have been suspended for violations of various traffic rules. The Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) has issued numerous notices to drivers of both private and commercial vehicles for breaching traffic regulations under the Motor Vehicle Act. Under the guidance of DC Doda Vishesh Mahajan, the MVD Doda has launched a special crackdown on violators and habitual offenders. Special checkpoints have been set up on various routes to inspect vehicles for fitness, overloading, overcharging, drink and drive, seat belt usage, mobile phone usage while driving, helmet compliance for two-wheelers, and valid documentation. Anyone found violating the rules is being dealt with firmly, in accordance with the Motor Vehicle Act. |
