Early Times Report JAMMU, June 9: Dogra Degree College, Bari Brahmana, Samba, collaborated with 91.9 Red FM to organize an awareness campaign on 9th June 2023, focusing on the theme of World Environment Day, "Beat Plastic Pollution." The campaign aimed to educate students about the importance of avoiding single-use plastic. Resource persons from Red FM, including Deepak (EP), RJ Sarang, RJ Anchita, and Mahikshit (Music Manager), facilitated the event. RJ Sarang and RJ Anchita enlightened the students about the need to limit the use of single-use plastic and emphasized the importance of crushing plastic bottles after use. Mahikshit entertained the students with a song created specifically for World Environment Day, promoting the reduction of single-use plastic bottles and advocating the use of alternatives. To encourage students to avoid plastic bottles, aluminium bottles were distributed among them. The speakers successfully motivated the young learners to take the initiative in creating a plastic-free environment. The students displayed enthusiasm and actively participated in the awareness program. The event proved to be a valuable knowledge-sharing experience for the students of Dogra Degree College and Dogra Law College. The program commenced with a welcome address by Palak Gupta, Convener of the Eco-Warriors Club at Dogra Degree College, and concluded with a vote of thanks by Sonia Gupta, Faculty of the BBA Department. |
