PM Modi's Gati Shakhti Policy drives infrastructure development: Rana | | | agencies NOIDA (UP), June 9: Senior BJP leader Devender Singh Rana expressed confidence that the Prime Minister's Gati Shakhti Policy has brought significant progress to the infrastructure sector, shaping India's economic trajectory for the future. During his visit to Noida International Airport at Jewar in Gautam Budh Nagar Parliamentary Constituency as part of 'Vikas Tirath,' Mr. Rana highlighted the policy's success in providing momentum to growth and achieving new milestones in the country's development. Mr. Rana emphasized that the Gati Shakhti Policy has empowered projects by integrating all relevant departments on a unified platform. This success story represents the vision of a New India, where infrastructure is accessible to all without discrimination, reflecting social justice and secularism as envisioned by the Prime Minister. Currently undertaking a month-long visit to the five Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituencies as part of the Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyan, Mr. Devender Rana commended the unprecedented development taking place across the country, particularly in terms of investments in modern infrastructure during the nine years of the Narendra Modi government. He believes that this progress will transform India in the coming decades. The Prime Minister's relentless efforts have made every corner of the country an integral part of its growth story, filling the citizens with pride in being recognized as the citizens of New India worldwide. Mr. Rana urged everyone to support the Prime Minister's vision to continue this momentum and bring about a prosperous India. Highlighting the massive infrastructure development, Mr. Rana mentioned that over 53,000 kilometers of national highways have been constructed, achieving nearly 99 percent rural road connectivity through the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. The pace of highway construction has reached 37 km per day. Indian Railways has witnessed substantial capacity expansion through line doubling, electrification, and the successful launch of Vande Bharat Express, India's first indigenous semi-high-speed train. Currently, 15 Vande Bharat trains are operational, and plans are underway to manufacture 400 more in the next three years. Additionally, metro rail projects have been implemented in 20 cities, and the Udan project has made air travel more affordable and accessible. The past nine years have seen the construction and operationalization of 74 new airports, along with the declaration of 111 waterways as National Waterways. Rana also highlighted the development in Jammu and Kashmir, citing the Chenab Bridge as a shining example of the Prime Minister's commitment to taking India to new heights of progress. He concluded by stating that the implementation of infrastructure projects in a mission mode is propelling India towards becoming a developed nation by 2047. The past nine years will be remembered as a determined effort to steer India towards its rightful position among the comity of nations.
