Early Times Report JAMMU, June 9: The 2nd District Bocce Ball Championship, organized by the J&K Sports Bocce Ball Association in collaboration with S.D Tara Puri High School Gandhi Nagar, came to a successful conclusion at the school premises. The championship witnessed participation from around 200 players representing various schools, including Shiksha Niketan High School, Dogra Hr. Sec School, S.D Tara Puri High School, Jammu Sanskriti School, RMPS School, and Crescent Public School. The closing ceremony had esteemed guests, including Sh. Vikram Randhwa (Ex-Mlc) as the Chief Guest, S. Harjeet Singh JKas (Tehsildar Gadi Ghar) as the Presiding Guest, and Ms. Ranjeet Kour JKAS (State Taxes Officer) and Munish Gupta (Vice President JKSBA) as the Special Guests of the day. Sh. N.D Sharma (Retd. Zeo), Ms. Neeru Puri (Principal SDTPS), Ms. Aastha Nanda (Secretary JK Bocce Ball Association), and Mr. Sunny Nanda (Gen. Sec. JKSSB) were also present on the occasion. During the ceremony, Sh. Vikram Randhwa distributed medals and certificates among the winners and commended the association for organizing a marvelous championship and providing opportunities to the budding youth. Shiksha Niketan High School emerged as the overall champion in the medal tally, while Dogra Hr. Sec School secured the runner-up position. S.D Tara Puri High School secured the third position. The matches were officiated by Suryansh (International Player), Gurvansh Choudhary (International Player), Sandeep Sharma (Coach APS Udhampur), Ankit Sharma (Coach SIS), Dhruv Choudhary, and Sahil Kaith (Coach SNS). The event was hosted by Ms. Ranju. The gold medal winners, including Nipun Gupta & Manik (SNS), Arav & Aryan (SNS), Sareshta & Laxmi (SNS), Pihu & Aradhya (SDTPS), Pavani & Vidhya (SNS), Rakshita & Pragati (SNS), Jatin & Karan (SDTPS), Natik & Kapish (DHSS), Sushant & Chetan (DHSS), Rehaan & Prafful (JSS), and Khushi (SDTPS), will now be selected for the 7th Bocce Ball Championship taking place from June 10 to June 23 in Delhi. The silver medal winners include Vinayak & Prikshit (CPS), Mohd. Mayal & Rudra (SNS), Ananya & Diya (SDTPS), Mehak & Sadhya (SNS), Nidhi & Ananya (SDTPS), Maniya & Deepakshi (SDTPS), Sarthak & Pallav (SDTPS), Manik & Armaan (DHSS), Aarav & Hitesh (SDTPS), Harshit & Mandeep (SNS), and Devender Sharma (SNS).
