Early Times Report JAMMU, June 21: The 9th International Yoga Day, with the theme "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," symbolizing our shared desire for "One Earth, One Family, and One Future," was observed at SSM College of Engineering. The event took place in the Open Air Auditorium on the campus and saw the esteemed presence of Syed Faheem Bihaqi (JKAS), SDM Pattan, as the chief guest. The occasion provided a platform for college students, faculty members, and staff to come together, promote physical and mental well-being, and embrace the practice of yoga. Under the guidance of Expert Instructors from the Department of AYUSH, Government of India, students performed various basic yoga exercises. During the closing ceremony, Syed Faheem Bihaqi (JKAS), SDM Pattan, emphasized the importance of maintaining physical health for sound mental health, particularly for students pursuing their educational goals. He also addressed the issue of drug addiction and stressed the need to curb it in order to ensure a healthy and peaceful society. Dilafrose Qazi, Vice-Chairperson of the college, expressed that the institution always takes the lead in welcoming Central Government programs aimed at the betterment of society. |
