Early Times Report JAMMU, June 21: Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary of Education, participated in the Yoga Day event held at Wave Mall in Jammu. The event, organized by the Directorate of Samagra Shiksha in collaboration with 92.7 Big FM and Bhartiya Yog Sansthan, saw the enthusiastic participation of students, teachers, and locals. Kumar highlighted the significant advantages of learning yoga at an early age, emphasizing its positive impact on students' overall well-being, progress, and prosperity. He emphasized that yoga is not only a means to achieve physical fitness but also plays a vital role in promoting mental balance, peace, and harmony. Kumar announced that the School Education Department would arrange yoga training for at least one school in each School Complex, covering approximately 800 schools across the Union Territory. He also shared plans to allocate 50 crore rupees for the development of sports infrastructure, equipment, and training in schools across Jammu and Kashmir. Kumar reiterated the department's commitment to promoting a healthy and drug-free society, stating that JK Sports events would be organized in all schools to encourage student and faculty participation.
