Early Times Report JAMMU, June 21: Superintendent of Police, Jammu South, Shaheen Wahid, conducted an interactive session with industrialists from Gangyal and Digiana, focusing on measures to ensure a drug-free Jammu. The session provided an opportunity to discuss policing-related issues and challenges faced by the industry stakeholders in the region. The session took place at the Association of Industrialists (AOI) Bhawan, with the presence of Sachit Gupta, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, South, and Ajay Chib, Station House Officer, Gangyal. During the discussion, Wahid emphasized the importance of strong coordination between the industries and the police department to create a crime-free city in Jammu. Recognizing the drug menace as a major contributor to crime, Wahid emphasized the need to eliminate drugs from the region. Given that the industries employ a significant number of workers from various parts of the country, their involvement in the mission to make Jammu drug-free becomes crucial. The industrialists expressed their commitment to supporting the police department's efforts in achieving a drug-free Jammu. They also shared their concerns and issues with the Superintendent of Police, who assured them of prompt resolution for their genuine problems. Prominent members of the Association of Industrialists Gangyal, including President Rajesh Jain, Vice President Balram Gupta, General Secretary Virender Jain, Secretary Vijay Sharma, and former President T.S. Reen, were present during the session.
