Jammu, June 21: In a significant breakthrough, the Nowabad Police successfully seized 12 kilograms of contraband substance “Bukki” during a routine naka operation conducted at Dogra Chowk. The operation was led by Station House Officer Surinder Raina, who coordinated the efforts of the police team. Acting on credible intelligence, the police set up the checkpoint at Dogra Chowk to curb illegal activities and maintain law and order in the area. During the operation, the police intercepted a suspect identified as Kamaljeet Singh who was travelling in an auto rickshaw and upon conducting a thorough search, discovered the illicit substance hidden in his possession. The accused, Kamaljeet Singh, was promptly apprehended and taken into custody for further investigation. The whole operation was carried out under the supervision of DySP Hqs Sumaiya Wani , SP North Kulbir Handa , SSP Chandan Kohli,Police spokesperson said. |
