Dogra College's IQAC organizes faculty knowledge sharing programme

JAMMU, June 23: The IQAC of Dogra Degree College conducted a One Day Faculty Knowledge Sharing Programme (FKSP) exclusively for the staff members of Dogra Group of Colleges. The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Amanpreet Kour. Dr. Mohd. Imran, Assistant Professor at IBS Dehradun, served as the resource person for the day, enlightening the participants on the topic "Case Study Methodology: A Guide for Research."
During the interactive session, Dr. Imran provided insights into various aspects of case studies, including different types, sources of data collection, and their implementation across various disciplines. He delved into the meaning and elements of case studies, discussed steps for developing personalized case studies, and explored the advantages and disadvantages associated with them. Additionally, he shared live case study examples and highlighted AI platforms for publishing, such as Casecentre.org (UK), icmrindia.org, and Centre for Management Case Development (BIMTECH). Dr. Imran also emphasized the importance of utilizing qualitative research software like SPSS, R, survey monkey website, brand 24 software, and money control website. The session emphasized the adoption of innovative teaching methodologies during live classroom sessions.
Following the session, the Principal of Dogra Degree College expressed appreciation to the guest speaker for shedding light on such a relevant topic and enriching the faculty with valuable insights and knowledge.
Prominent attendees included Dr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary of Dogra Educational Trust, Dr. Bela Thakur, Principal of Dogra Degree College, Dr. Vikesh Kumar, Principal of Dogra College of Education, and Dr. Shefali Sharma, Academic Coordinator of DCE. The vote of thanks was delivered by Preeti Sharma, Lecturer at Dogra Degree College. Around 30 faculty members actively participated in the webinar, and e-certificates were distributed to all participants. Overall, it was an engaging and informative session.
