MVD recovers over Rs 3.50 lakh fine from traffic violators | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, June 24: The enforcement team of the Motor Vehicle Department today recovered Rs 3.50 Lakh fine from traffic violators during an early morning checking on National Highway Way in Samba District. The team comprising ARTO, Samba Shammi Kumar, C.S. Baloria, MVI and other staff conducted checking of around 300 vehicles challaned/compounded 101 vehicles for different traffic violations and recovered Rs. 3, 50, 500 fine on the spot. Besides conducting checking, the drivers of vehicles were also made aware about the road safety rules and following the same for safe driving on the road. The owners and drivers were advised to ply vehicles with valid documents and avoid over speeding and avoid use of mobile phones while driving which often becomes the cause of accidents. The ARTO Samba also appealed to the people to wear Crash Helmets and Seat Belts while driving two and four wheelers. He further requested drivers of commercial vehicles to ply vehicles on road by obeying traffic rules to reduce road accidents and save precious human lives. |
