| Security boosted for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra: Collaborative efforts at Jammu Railway Station | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 26: Today a meeting was held in the office chambers of Mohan Lal Kaith, SSP Railways Jammu, to review the security arrangements for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2023. The meeting was attended by officers from GRP Jammu, Railway department, Army, RPF, CRPF, and intelligence agencies. The primary objective of the meeting was to strengthen the overall security setup at the Jammu Railway station.
During the meeting, the officers provided valuable suggestions and feedback regarding the security of the Jammu Railway station. It was unanimously agreed that all agencies would work closely together to prevent any attempts by anti-national elements to create sabotage during the Amarnath Ji Yatra. The officers were instructed to instruct their personnel to deal compassionately with the Yatris (pilgrims) and provide them with all necessary assistance during the Yatra period.
To facilitate the Yatris, it was decided to establish help desks at the Railway station to assist them in reaching the nearest Yatra Bhawan (pilgrim accommodation). Stringent security measures were deemed necessary to enhance security coverage at the Jammu Railway station during the Yatra. The GRP and RPF officers were directed to intensify patrolling in the railway platform areas and other sensitive areas of the station to ensure the prevention of any untoward incidents throughout the Yatra period. |
