Job aspirants face mental trauma as JKSSB withholds result, new recruitment calendar | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 26: In a major setback for job aspirants the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) has been unable to announce the results of exams held for the positions of Sub-Inspectors, Junior Engineers in Jal Shakti, and Account Assistants in Finance. The delay in the recruitment process has left many candidates worried, with some even losing hope and seeking opportunities in cities like Delhi and Bangalore. Initially slated to be completed by March 31, the recruitment process has stretched on for months, causing frustration and anxiety among the aspirants. The delay in announcing the results and conducting other necessary exams is primarily attributed to the involvement of Aptech, a blacklisted company. “To address the concerns of the aspirants, it is imperative for the government to take prompt action. The government has the option to hire an alternate recruitment agency to conduct the pending exams and streamline the selection process,” said an observer. However, the JKSSB has not yet released a new calendar for upcoming recruitments, leaving candidates uncertain about the future course of action. Job seekers have taken to social media platforms such as Twitter to voice their demands for timely exams and result announcements. “The government's silence on the matter has further fueled their frustration. Surprisingly, there has been little to no political intervention on this issue, as politicians from all parties have remained quiet,” the observer said. While the court has listed the case regarding this matter for September, the government has the authority to resolve the situation by making a decisive move. It is important to note that not all aspirants have the means or qualifications to pursue UPSC exams, making it crucial for the government to find a way to conduct the pending exams. “The government can explore options such as assigning the task to the Staff Selection Commission or the Public Service Commission to ensure a fair and transparent selection process. The prolonged decision-making process has become a source of trauma for job aspirants, who are eagerly awaiting a resolution. As the issue continues to affect a large number of individuals seeking employment, the government must prioritize the concerns of the aspirants and take swift action to restore their confidence in the recruitment process,” the observer added. |
