| Exposure visit of KV CUJ Rahya Suchani students to BIS, industry at Bari Brahmana | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, July 4: Today, students from Kendriya Vidyalaya Central University of Jammu Rahya Suchani visited the BIS Jammu and Kashmir Branch Office and a manufacturing unit at Bari Brahmana. The visit aimed to familiarize the students with quality standards and BIS-certified manufacturing processes.
At the BIS J&K Branch Office, the students learned about the role of BIS in safeguarding consumer rights through standards and conformity assessment. They were introduced to various schemes and services provided by BIS, including product certification, hallmarking, and testing procedures. The students also witnessed gold sample testing at the Referral Assaying Laboratory.
Subsequently, the students visited M/s Sabas Foods India Pvt. Ltd., Birpur, Bari Brahmana, where they observed the processing and quality testing of packaged drinking water as per IS 14543. The quality control personnel explained the manufacturing and testing processes, and the students showed great interest in BIS activities.
