‘Jammu, Reasi, Poonch districts on radar of terror groups’ | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 4: With no let up in sinister designs of Pakistan, in the latest the enemy country conspires to carry out “guerilla warfare” terror strikes in Jammu region in particular, New Delhi has learnt. Sources said the intelligence agencies have got inputs that Pakistani terror camps have changed their strategy of keeping the terror pot boiling in Jammu and Kashmir through “guerilla warfare”. Sources said the intelligence agencies have inputs that Jammu, Reasi and Poonch districts in particular are on the radar of the terror groups. Sources said, as per the new strategy learnt by the intelligence agencies, only the “highly trained terrorists would be pushed into Jammu and Kashmir to carry out hit and run terror attacks.” The sources said the government has got to know that the deadly attacks on civilians and the Indian Army that took place in Rajouri and Poonch districts this year were part of the same design. “As a part of the guerilla warfare, highly trained terrorists attack their target and run away before reinforcements arrive. Such hit and run operations are aimed at creating atmosphere of insecurity,” explained a security analyst on the condition of anonymity. The sources said the central government has been apprised about the issue and that the top brass including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh who recently visited Jammu and Kashmir discussed the matter at official meetings. The sources said the major focus would be to prevent any infiltration. “Infiltration of such trained terrorists is the main concern and that it being taken care of with even ultra vigil along the fence,” said an official. Meanwhile the security forces are fully prepared to meet any such nefarious designs. The peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir has frustrated Pakistan to a level that it keeps changing its terror plans. |
