| Jammu police seizes 05 vehicles involved in illegal mining | | |

Jammu, July 5: Jammu Police has taken decisive action against illegal mining activities by seizing five vehicles involved in the illegal mining operations. The crackdown was a part of the multi-pronged strategy implemented by the police to tackle this menace.
Police teams from PP Talab Tillo, PP Chinore, PP Sidhra, and PP Jourian acted promptly on specific inputs and conducted raids in their respective areas. As a result, the following vehicles used in illegal mining were seized:
• One tipper with registration number JK02BD 5686 by PP Talab Tillo
• One JCB with registration number JK02CR 1254 by PP Chinore
• Two vehicles, including one tractor with chassis number WZTE31419128281 and one tipper with chassis number MAT505243K8D07986, by PP Sidhra
• One tractor trolley without registration number by PP Jourian.
The respective In-Charges of the police stations, including PSI Sonu Choudhary (PP Talab Tillo), PSI Rajesh Kumar (PP Chinore), PSI Arun Kumar (PP Sidhra), and PSI Karnail Singh (PP Jourian), played a crucial role in the successful recoveries made in their jurisdictions.
The District Mining Officer (DMO) Jammu has been informed about the operation.
It is important to note that the mining activities were carried out in violation of the orders of the Hon’ble High Court of Jammu and Kashmir. To effectively combat illegal mining and take strict action against violators, Jammu Police has initiated a vigorous drive. |
