SIU Kishtwar raids houses of 6 terrorists operating from Pak | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, July 5: In a significant operation against terrorism, the State Investigation Unit (SIU) Kishtwar conducted raids on the houses of terrorists operating from Pakistan. The well-coordinated raids targeted a network involved in terror funding and over ground activities. Based on precise intelligence, SIU teams carried out simultaneous raids at six locations in Kishtwar district. The targeted terrorists include Manzoor Ahmad alias Tahir Inqilabi in Dwathwar, Singpura, Nazir Ahmad in Beighpura Chatroo, Shabir Ahmad in Sewa Chatroo, Mohammad Iqbal Rishi alias Muzamil Aansari in Dellar Chatroo, Mohammad Amin Bhat in Narayan Chingam, and Mohammad Iqbal Butt in Umar Mohalla, Kishtwar. It has been revealed that Mohammad Iqbal, operating from Pakistan, has been orchestrating terror activities and spreading anti-India sentiments through online platforms. Intelligence suggests that his relatives were involved in the sale of his property and the transfer of funds through illicit hawala channels, with the assistance of the Hurriyat-ISI nexus. “We have established connections between the family members and these terrorists. Our focus now is to gather electronic evidence to support these links,” said SSP Kishtwar. The raided properties have been confirmed to be associated with terrorists operating from Pakistan, underscoring the significance of the operation conducted by SIU. These well-planned raids are part of the larger operation to dismantle the over ground terror network and disrupt terror funding, which sustains the terror ecosystem. The J&K Government has taken a strong stance against these elements. Earlier, a special NIA court in Jammu issued non-bailable warrants against 36 terrorists from Kishtwar operating across the border. Some of the terrorists’ properties have also been seized in Doda District. Under the direction of CIO Kishtwar Police DYSP Vishal Sharma, SIU teams conducted the raids following house search warrants obtained from the NIA court in Jammu. The raids aimed to gather evidence to establish the involvement of the accused in anti-national activities and terrorism. SSP Kishtwar stated that all supporters and associates of terrorists identified during the investigations would also face prosecution. The searches aim to eliminate the militant ecosystem in the district by identifying over ground workers and terrorism supporters. Additionally, pressure from the ISI and relentless pursuit by Indian security forces have compelled a substantial number of terrorists to seek refuge in Pakistan. However, Pakistan’s intelligence agency is dissatisfied with their lack of productivity and is pressuring these terrorist groups to intensify their activities in the Jammu region. Despite their efforts, the vigilant presence and effectiveness of Indian security forces have repeatedly thwarted their attempts to achieve significant success in their malicious attacks in Rajouri, Udhampur, and Doda over the past three years. |
