Jammu, July 6: On July 4, 2023, a theft of Rs 21,000 was reported at Yatri Niwas Bhagwati Nagar by Anand Sharma from Banadada, Indore, Madhya Pradesh. A First Information Report (FIR) was registered under section 379 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and the investigation was initiated. During the course of the investigation, suspects Raj Kumar and Ram Jeevan, residents of Gonda district, Uttar Pradesh, were apprehended for questioning based on a thorough analysis of the CCTV footage. Upon their disclosure, the stolen amount of Rs 21,000 was recovered from them. It was revealed that both accused individuals had valid yatra slips, allowing them entry into the premises. The recovery operation was conducted by Inspector Surinder Raina, Station House Officer (SHO) of Nowabad Police Station, with the assistance of Police Sub-Inspector Younis Khanday, under the supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Hqrs Dr. Sunaya Wani, KPS. The overall supervision of the case was conducted by Superintendent of Police (SP) City North, Kulbir Handa. |
