Dr Hesham Ali El Enshasy delivers lecture at high end skilling workshop | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 7: Dr. Hesham Ali El Enshasy, the Director of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), delivered a lecture titled "Mushrooms in food and nutraceutical industries: from product to market" during the ongoing High End Skilling Workshop on Analytical Techniques in Food Biochemistry at the Division of Biochemistry, SKUAST-Jammu. The workshop is sponsored by DST-SERB. Dr. Hesham is a renowned researcher in the field of Biotechnology, Energy, and Enabling technologies, and he has been recognized as one of the top 2% researchers in the world since 2020 according to a research study by Stanford University. During his lecture, Dr. Hesham emphasized the importance of advanced technologies, particularly fermentation, for the mass production of mushroom cultures. He elaborated on the technologies developed by his center, which enable the efficient isolation and commercial exploitation of biochemical compounds from mushrooms. He expressed his hope for potential collaboration between his institute and SKUAST-J. Dr. Moni Gupta, Professor of Biochemistry and Course Director of the workshop, encouraged the participants to explore opportunities for higher studies and advanced research in institutes of excellence like UTM. |
