Early Times Report JAMMU, July 7: The Bakshi Nagar Police has successfully solved two theft cases involving a stolen motorcycle and a scooty. The complaints were lodged by Paramjeet Kour, wife of Amrit Paul Singh, and Nandish Kohli, son of Shakti Kohli, both residents of Bakshi Nagar, Jammu. The incidents occurred when unidentified thieves stole the scooty with registration number JK02BU/8322 and the motorcycle with registration number JK02BM/5315 from Bakshi Nagar. Following the written complaints, two FIRs were registered at PS Bakshi Nagar under section 379 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and the investigation was initiated. A special police team led by SDPO West Vikram Bhau, with the assistance of SHO PS Bakshi Nagar, Inspector Rakesh Sharma, and IC PP GMC, Sub-Inspector Vijay Thakur, tirelessly worked on the case. They analyzed CCTV footage from the area and eventually apprehended two suspects, identified as Nikhil Verma, son of Raj Kumar Verma, and Rohit Gupta, son of Rakesh Gupta, both residents of Bakshi Nagar. During the interrogation, both suspects confessed to their involvement in the theft cases. Acting on their disclosures, the stolen scooty and motorcycle were recovered. The police are continuing their investigation into the case to gather further evidence. The successful resolution of these theft cases highlights the diligent efforts of the Bakshi Nagar Police in ensuring the safety and security of the local community. |
