Early Times Report JAMMU, July 19: In an emergent meeting convened today, the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, strongly condemned the reported attack on pilgrims en route to Shri Amarnath Ji darshans. The association expressed deep concern over the unfortunate incident, wherein a couple of pilgrims were reportedly injured due to stone pelting. The members called upon the Administration to take immediate measures to ensure the safety of the thousands of pilgrims visiting the Holy Shrine. Chaired by Vikram Sharma, Senior Advocate and President of the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, the meeting emphasized the need for the authorities to address any lapses on the part of law-enforcement agencies seriously. While ensuring the safety of the pilgrims, the members emphasized that maintaining peace and harmony in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir should be a top priority and should not be allowed to be disturbed at any cost. The meeting witnessed the presence of several prominent members of the association, including Amit Gupta (Vice President), Parvesh Singh Salaria (General Secretary), Chetan Misri (Joint Secretary), Utkarsh Pathania (Treasurer), and many others, such as DivyIshan, Surinder Singh Jamwal, Ved Bharat Singh, Satinder Gupta, Sudershan Kumar, Rashid Abbas Khan, Rajinder Singh Thakur, Atul Raina, Kamal Magotra, Sachin Dev Singh, Dilbagh Singh, Priya Bhan, Maheen Shah, Nitika Bali, Mamta Chib, Sunny Parihar, Ajay Singh, Manjit Singh Sarkaria, Jattan Gill, Dakhseesh Sharma, Ashwani Banotra, Sachin Singh Sarotia, Amandeep Sharma, Aryan Goutam, Abhishek Vasudev, Susheel Sharma, Digvijay Singh Bandral, Sidhant Manni, and several others. The J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, remains committed to upholding the rights and safety of the pilgrims visiting Shri Amarnath Ji and strongly urges the Administration to take necessary actions to prevent any untoward incidents during the pilgrimage while maintaining the peace and harmony in the region. |
