SJVN contributes Rs. 2.55 Crores to Aapda Rahat Kosh for flood relief in Himachal Pradesh | | | agencies SHIMLA, July 20: Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director of SJVN, met with Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh and presented two cheques totaling Rs. 2.55 crores to the Aapda Rahat Kosh for flood relief in Himachal Pradesh. Also present during the occasion were Geeta Kapur, Director (Personnel), and Sushil Sharma, Director (Electrical) from SJVN. Sharma informed the Chief Minister that SJVN, being a responsible corporate citizen, acknowledges the seriousness of the situation caused by incessant rains and devastating floods in the state. To support the relief efforts, SJVN is contributing Rs. 2 crores to the Rahat Kosh, while its employees are voluntarily donating their one-day salary, amounting to Rs. 55 lakh. He further stated that SJVN has always been at the forefront in assisting the society and the government during challenging times. The company and its employees have consistently stood with the state and its people. The Aapda Rahat Kosh is a digital platform established by the Government of Himachal Pradesh to provide aid to those affected by disasters. Himachal Pradesh has endured significant losses due to unprecedented rainfall, marking the worst calamity experienced in the state in the last 50 years. SJVN's contribution aims to alleviate the suffering caused by the natural calamity and support the state's relief efforts. |
