Demand of 2013 Judicial Employees: LG Administration Urged to Implement Old Pension Scheme | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 23: Judicial employees appointed in Jammu in the year 2013, serving in district-level courts, have come forward with a demand to be brought under the old pension scheme category, following the order issued by the central government. These employees were appointed under the notifications of 2005, 2006, and 2009. They are now seeking the implementation of the central government’s order numbered 57/052021-P&PW(B) dated 03/03/2022, which places them under the old pension scheme category. The demand arises as the Government of Jammu and Kashmir had already implemented the new pension order SRO400 dated 24/12/2009 from 01/01/2010. However, the recruitment notification for judicial employees appointed in 2013 falls before 24-12-2009, making them eligible for the old pension scheme. Muhammad Tarq un Naveed, Provincial Vice President of Judicial Employees Association, and Provincial President Jewa Jammu, has strongly urged the LG administration to address their legitimate demand and approve the old pension scheme for their benefit. He has appealed to LG Manoj Sahna to personally consider the matter and do justice by fulfilling the longstanding and rightful request of the employees. The judicial employees’ plea for the old pension scheme seeks fair treatment in line with their counterparts appointed before 2010. |
