Sewing machines distributed among needy families in Rajouri by Police | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 24: Under the Civic Action Programme, the Jammu and Kashmir Police in Rajouri district carried out a distribution drive of Sewing Machines to benefit poor and needy families in the areas of Nowshera, Sundarbani, Dharamsaal, and Kalakote. The initiative aimed to support families from various villages, including Nowshera, Nonial, Saroh, Mehari, Dali, Hattal, Thandapani, Dhok Banyar, Siot, Dharamasal, and Kallar, falling under the jurisdiction of different police stations in the Sub-division Nowshera. The beneficiaries primarily consisted of widows and individuals in difficult circumstances. The provision of sewing machines is intended to enhance their means of livelihood, uplift their living standards, and create opportunities for generating income to meet the expenses of education and upbringing of their children. SSP Rajouri, Amritpal Singh (IPS), expressed the commitment of the police to reach out to needy families and the weaker sections of society through various Civic Action Programmes. He emphasized that such initiatives are aimed at providing essential support to deserving individuals, and this recent effort in Rajouri district is just one of the many to follow in the future.
