| 08 vehicles involved in illegal mining seized by Jammu Police | | |

Jammu, July 24: In a quest to stern the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which police teams of PS Nagrota, PS Arnia ,PS Akhnoor, PP Residency, PP Talab Tillo and BPP Gajansoo acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at a location in their respective area and seized 08 vehicles involved in illegal mining. Details of the vehicle seized are as under:
03 Vehicles i.e Two Tractor Trollies bearing Chassis No.s 16801and 46753. One JCB bearing Registration No JK02CP-7213, by PS Nagrota.
One Tipper bearing Registration No JK02AN 9586, by PS Akhnoor
One Tractor Trolley bearing Registration No JK02CV-8458, by PS Arnia.
One tipper without Registration No, by PP Residency
One tractor bearing Registration No JK02BE 0789, by PP Talab Tillo
One Tractor Trolley bearing Registration No JK02CW-1108, by BPP Gajansoo.
The recoveries were made by SHO PS Nagrota Inspr Vishav Partap Singh, SHO PS Arnia Inspr Deepak Katoch, SHO PS Akhnoor Inspr Zaheer Mushtaq, I/C PP Residency PSI Darshan Singh, I/C PP Talab Tillo PSI Sonu Choudhary and I/C BPP Gajansoo ASI Ravinder Bushan in their respective jurisdictions.
DMO Jammu was also intimated about the same.
The mining was done in violation of order of Hon’ble High Court of J&K. In order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has initiated strict action. |
