DC holds public grievances redressal camp at Panchayat Mananu

SAMBA, July 26: As part of weekly Block Diwas initiative to bring the Administration closer to the people and address their concerns directly, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Samba Abhishek Sharma today visited Shah Balore Panchayat Mananu in Nud Block of the District and convened a public outreach camp.
The weekly Block Diwas aims to facilitate people to project their demands and issues before administration and enable the District officers to gain a firsthand understanding of the public issues and to provide on-the-spot solutions. During the Public Grievance Redressal Camp, the local PRI representatives, including Sarpanch Mananu, Sunil Chowdhary, Sarpanch Darui, Bimla Devi along with other members and the residents from Balore, Nud , Sarna and nearby areas presented their grievances and demands. These demands included the establishment of a Higher Secondary School, opening of veterinary centre in the area, posting of Doctors at the Health and Wellness centre, Road connectivity, proper channelling of water to prevent inundation during rainfall, solar light system, construction of banquet hall ,promotion of tourism in the potential areas /forts and improvement of irrigation canals and electric utilities.
The Deputy Commissioner attentively listened to the grievances and demands of the public and sought responses from the concerned District Officers present at the camp. He assured the attendees that all legitimate issues and demands raised by them would receive priority attention from the appropriate authorities.
Highlighting the purpose of holding such grievance redressal camps, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the significance of gathering public feedback on local issues. He assured the public that decisions made during these camps would be diligently followed up to ensure that all demands are met for the welfare of the community.
Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner encouraged the locals to harness the tourism potential in the region to boost the local economy. He urged the youth to step forward and establish ventures that could provide sustainable livelihoods. Additionally, he stressed the importance of tapping into the Agriculture and Horticulture potential in the area.
During his visit, the Deputy Commissioner also inspected the ongoing works at Balore area and urged the concerned executing agency to expedite the project to enhance healthcare facilities for the locals.He directed the AD Food to organise facilitation camps for the Aadhar seeding of eligible people.
Several officials from various departments were present at the Public Grievance Redressal Camp, including the ADDC Samba, Sh. Rajinder Singh, Assistant Commissioner Development Samba Sh. Siddharth Dhiman, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Education Officer, Tehsildar HQR Samba, DSWO Samba along with officers from PHE, PDD, R&B, RDD, Health, and other line departments.
