Early Times Report JAMMU, July 27: Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), Jammu, expressed great disappointment over the deplorable condition of industrial towns in the Jammu region. He highlighted the dire state of industrial towns like Bari Brahmana, Samba, and Kathua districts, which have been neglected and left in poor condition under the present dispensation. In a statement issued here today, Rattan Lal Gupta stated that the present administration has miserably failed to develop these crucial industrial towns, resulting in their stark contrast to the fully developed industrial towns found in other states. He lamented the hollow policies adopted by the present dispensation, which have led to the sorry state of affairs in the industrial towns of the Jammu region. Gupta highlighted that the industrial towns in the Jammu region are deprived of basic amenities, hindering the progress and well-being of the local communities. He emphasized that if the National Conference is voted to power then these industrial towns will be revitalized and developed on modern, smart towns, developed public parks and children play grounds, ensuring the availability of essential amenities for the residents. The senior NC leader also expressed serious concern over the heavy losses caused by flash floods and incessant rains in border and Kandi belts of Samba district. He pointed out that the government's response to these calamities has been lackluster, showing little concern for the loss of infrastructure, properties and crops. He appealed to the government to assess the extent of the damages and provide immediate compensation to the affected individuals. Meanwhile, in view of the upcoming polls of ULB in Jammu and Kashmir, the National Conference has constitutes committee for Samba, Bari Brahmana, Vijaypur, and Ramgarh. The following 17 members committee has been constituted Sudagar Gupta as Chairman. Satwant Kour Dogra, Master Noor Hussain, Sureiya Begum, Rajni Devi, Mohinder Singh, Chander Udhay Singh, Bharat Bushan, Ashok Kumar Attri, Ajay Sharma, Yashpal, Krishan Dutt, Joginder Kumar, Nar Singh, Satpal, Bua Dita and Sawarn Singh as members. |
