Samba police intensifies crackdown on illegal mining | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, July 28: The relentless efforts of Samba Police to combat illegal mining have yielded further success as five additional vehicles involved in illegal mining activities were seized in the district. This recent seizure brings the total count of confiscated vehicles to 103 in the past six months, thanks to the dedicated drive directed by SSP Samba Benam Tosh. Under the supervision of DySP Garu Ram, SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar, SDPO Bari Brahmana Rahul Nagar, and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary, multiple police teams, including SHO Police Station Vijaypur Tribhawan Khajuria, SHO Police Station Purmandal Vijay Verma, SHO Police Station Ghagwal Bharat Bhushan, SHO Police Station Samba Rajeshwar Singh, and Incharge Police Post Goran Sajid Jaral, have been actively involved in the operation. The recently seized vehicles include one Dumper with registration No. JK21G-6599, two Tractor Trolleys with registration Nos. JK21C-0800 & JK21G-8797, and two Tractor Trolleys without registration numbers. Speaking on the development, Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh expressed his determination to eradicate the illegal mining menace entirely from the district. He acknowledged the success of the special drive against illegal mining, which has led to the seizure of 103 vehicles over the last six months. The police's continuous efforts signify their commitment to combatting the activities of the mining mafia and ensuring that the illegal mining operations are effectively curtailed in Samba district. The police will remain vigilant and continue their crackdown on illegal mining to safeguard the region's natural resources and environment. |
