| NHPC, ALIMCO Sign MoU to Assist Divyangjans with Aids, Devices | | |  agencies
NEW DELHI, Aug 1: NHPC Limited and Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at NHPC Corporate Office, Faridabad, as part of NHPC's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC.
The MoU aims to provide CSR support for the distribution of aids and assistive devices to approximately 1000 Divyangjans (persons with disabilities) residing near NHPC Projects located in North & North Eastern states. The signing of this MoU marks a significant step in NHPC's commitment to enhancing the lives of Divyangjans by providing them with essential aids and devices that cater to their specific needs.
The agreement was signed by the Group Deputy General Manager (HR), CSR & SD, NHPC, and the General Manager-Marketing, ALIMCO. Executive Director (CSR & SD) of NHPC, along with senior officers from NHPC's CSR & SD Division and ALIMCO, were also present during the signing ceremony.
Through this collaboration, NHPC and ALIMCO will work together to empower and uplift the lives of Divyangjans, ensuring they have access to necessary assistive devices that enable greater mobility and independence. The initiative aligns with NHPC's commitment to promoting social inclusivity and making a positive impact on the lives of the differently-abled in the communities around their projects |
