| DPO Poshan visits Anganwari centres to review implementation of ongoing schemes | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Aug 2: To take review of various ongoing schemes being implemented in Poshan Sector (Social Welfare Department) in District Udhampur, District Programme Officer, Poshan, Subhash Chander Dogra, today conducted a day long extensive tour of various Anganwadi centres including AWC Sira Thanger, AWC Kotla, AWC Upper Sool C, AWC Barta B, AWC Khandak, AWC Panthal, AWC Barta W.No. 01 of Panthal and its adjoining area.
During the tour, he reviewed all the schemes (viz. Poshan Abhiyaan, Pradhan Mantra Matru Vandana Yojna) being implemented at grass root level.
He directed the CDPOs to keep regular check/visit to the AWCs in order to make effective implementation of Poshan Schemes and also ensure no beneficiary is left out to avail the benefit of the schemes.
While visiting Anganwadi centres, the District Programme Officer, Poshan emphasized upon the Supervisors/Anganwadi Workers/Helpers to gear up the process for distribution of Supplementary Nutrition as per guideline in vogue with in stipulated time framed by the Higher Authorities.
He also stressed upon the AWWs to visit door to door and inform the beneficiaries oriented schemes being implemented by this sector. Besides this, instructions were also passed to the Anganwadi Worker to track the activities of Anganwadi centres viz growth monitoring, attendance, community based events etc on newly launched application namely Poshan Tracker on daily basis.
