Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 2: Free Orthopaedic Camp that was organized at Ranjit Global School, Bandhu, Rakhwala, Kunjwani, Jammu. The camp was a collaborative effort between the Departments of Orthopaedics at ASCOMS & Hospital, Sidhra, Jammu and the Jammu & Kashmir Orthopaedic Association. The event was inaugurated by D.K. Batra, Secretary of ASCOMS, Dr. Pavan Malhotra, Director Principal of ASCOMS & Hospital, Dr. Rajesh K. Gupta, Prof & Head of Orthopaedics at ASCOMS, and Dr. Manmeet Singh, Chairman of Ranjit Global School. The camp was organized as part of the Bone & Joint Day activities, which are celebrated all over India on the 4th of August each year. To mark this day, the Indian Orthopaedic Association and Jammu & Kashmir Orthopadic Association planned several activities throughout the state, with a focus on providing medical support to the poor and needy. During the camp, a team of Orthopaedic Surgeons, including Dr. Anitipal Singh Raina (Asstt. Prof., ASCOMS & Hospital) and Dr. Sunny Sharma (Senior Resident), headed by Dr. Rajesh K. Gupta, examined approximately 100 patients. Free medicines were also distributed to those in need, and patients were screened for free surgeries, which will be conducted at ASCOMS & Hospital, Sidhra. Dr. Pavan Malhotra praised Dr. Manmeet Singh, Chairman of Ranjit Global School, for facilitating the organization of the camp for the benefit of the local community. Sh. D.K. Batra appreciated Dr. Rajesh Gupta for efficiently conducting the camp and expressed the hope that similar camps would be held in other areas in the future, continuing to provide much-needed medical assistance to those in need. |
