People's sufferings increase in absence of popular Government, says Rattan Lal Gupta | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 2: Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, has expressed concern over the sufferings of the people due to the absence of a popular government in the region. He accused the BJP of misrule and stated that the bureaucratic rule has failed to address the burning issues of the people. Gupta emphasized the need for holding elections in Jammu and Kashmir at the earliest to establish a popular government and ensure the welfare of the people. He criticized the incumbent government at the center for not allowing the upcoming local bodies elections, which he deemed a blatant violation of the Constitution of India. In response to the upcoming local bodies elections, Gupta constituted committees in District Reasi, District Udhampur Urban, and District Udhampur Rural to oversee the preparations for the elections. These committees are chaired by Jagjeevan Lal for District Reasi, Sunil Verma for District Udhampur Urban, and Ram Parshotam for District Udhampur Rural. Each committee comprises several members to ensure efficient functioning. Gupta's statement highlights the prevailing concern among the people of Jammu and Kashmir and calls for early elections to establish a popular government and address the pressing issues faced by the region. |
