Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 5: In commemoration of the "Day of Resolution for freedom from corruption (Bhrashthachar Se Mukt Sankalp Diwas)," the Directorate of Youth Services & Sports, J&K UT, conducted a simple yet impactful function at the Joint Director's office in Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. During the event, an integrity pledge was administered to all employees, emphasizing the eradication of corruption from public life. Presided over by Subash Chander Chibber, Director of Youth Services & Sports, J&K, the function highlighted the significance of observing Vigilance Awareness Week. The aim was to raise awareness about combating corruption, increasing accountability, and enhancing service delivery. The event also focused on promoting digital governance and reducing human interface in public service delivery. Suram Chand Sharma, Joint Director of Youth Services & Sports Jammu, discussed various aspects of preventive, punitive, and participative vigilance. He urged officers, especially Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs), to carry out their duties with utmost care and avoid any lapses. Additionally, he encouraged the installation of complaint boxes in offices and prompt redressal of complaints. Mr. Sharma also emphasized close coordination with Deputy Commissioners to organize programs under "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" as per the schedule. Jitendra Mishra, Deputy Director Central, also addressed the gathering during the occasion. Mool Raj, Assistant Director, Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma, DYSSO Jammu, and other officers from the department were present at the event. Furthermore, a Panch Pran Shapath under the initiative "Meri Maati, Mera Desh" was administered to all attendees, fostering a commitment to the welfare of the nation.
