Jammu, Aug 7: In an impressive display of skill and determination, Pinegrove School’s U-17 Girls Football team triumphed in the fiercely contested All India IPSC Girls U-17 Football Tournament 2023, held at SelaQui International School, Dehradun. The tournament saw the participation of 10 schools from across the country.
Right from the outset, the Pinegrove eves showcased their exceptional prowess and indomitable spirit, setting the tone for a remarkable competition. Despite facing an initial draw, the team’s resilience and cohesive gameplay propelled them through the subsequent league matches, advancing them to the Finals.
The Grand Finale against MNSS RAI proved to be an intense battle, with both teams displaying unmatched determination. The match remained goalless even after 30 minutes in the second half and extended into a gripping extra time of 7 minutes. The teams remained deadlocked, highlighting their competitive spirit. Ultimately, Pinegrove School emerged as the victors in a thrilling penalty shootout, sealing a 4-3 win and claiming the well-deserved championship title. The team’s outstanding performance throughout the tournament earned Subekcha Limbu the title of Most Valuable Player of the Tournament, recognizing her exceptional contributions to the team’s success. The victory marks a proud moment for Pinegrove School, showcasing the talent and dedication of their U-17 Girls Football team on a national stage. |
