Jammu, Aug 8: The tranquil setting of Hari Ki Pauri, Bagh e Bahu in Jammu witnessed a remarkable event on August 8, 2023, as the Vishwa Yog Samsthaan (World Yog Institute) ashram hosted a grand mega plantation drive. The initiative, driven by the renowned Sh Yog Guru Karan ji, Head Incharge of Vishwa Yog Samsthaan, drew participants from various walks of life, highlighting the significance of environmental consciousness and community collaboration.
The plantation drive unfolded against the backdrop of the ashram’s regular activities, including Hanuman Chalisa Chanting and Yog and meditation classes. The serene ashram premises transformed into a hub of eco-friendly action, with individuals joining hands to plant diverse saplings, contributing to the natural beauty of the area.
The Deputy Mayor of Jammu, Sh Baldev Singh Billawaria ji, graced the event as the chief guest and emphasized the need for a Green Corridor within the city.
