Jammu, Aug 10: Jodhamal Students performed brilliantly at the prestigious WELMUN’23 organized by Welham Boys’ School, Dehradun. WELMUN is regarded as one of most prestigious MUNs across all MUN-circuits. Students from very eminent schools across the country participate in this MUN. Jodhamal Students have been participating and bringing laurels in this MUN for the last many years. This year too, without an exception, six Jodhamal Students, out of a contingent of 10, won accolades in WELMUN. This is the highest number of students winning accolades in this MUN from Jammu. Amidst fierce competition from other esteemed schools across the country, Jodhamal Delegation displayed exceptional skill, poise, and profound knowledge on a diverse array of agendas at the WELMUN organised by WELHAM BOYS SCHOOL DEHRADUN from 3-5 August 2023. The other participating Schools were: Mayo College Girls’ School Ajmer, Mayo College Ajmer, Welham Boys’ School Dehradun, Welham Girls’ School Dehradun, The Doon School Dehradun, The Doon Girls, YPS Patiala, Sanskriti School Delhi, The Daly College Indore, The Emerald Heights Indore, The Rajkumar College Rajkot, Sunbeam School Varuna and many more were invited. From 27 prestigious institutions, more than 300 delegates participated where Jodhamal pitched an outstanding delegation of 10 students, of whom an impressive 6 delegates received well-deserved accolades. Aviral Kapoor, Samiah Sami, Moksh Sharma, Guhika Sachdev and Navaj Anand earned the coveted titles of ‘Honorary Mention’ for UNHSC, Lok Sabha, UNW and IPC, respectively. Aarav Handoo relentless efforts earned him a verbal mention. Efforts put in by Aadya Sambyal, Adhvik Mahajan and Jiniya Gupta were worth appreciation. MUN Coordinator Ms. Deepmala unwavering support and impeccable coordination played an imperative role in ensuring the students success and maintaining their motivation throughout the Conference. The triumph of Jodhamal delegation in this prestigious competition exemplifies the School commitment to fostering intellectual growth and honing critical thinking skills. Nandan Kuthiala, Trustee, Arati Kuthiala, Director, Girish Kumar, Principal and Shefali Sanwal, Vice Principal expressed pride in the achievements of the delegates and lauded their exemplary performance at WELMUN. |
