‘Naye Chamchay’ sideline senior BJP leaders in Kashmir
8/10/2023 11:04:47 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 10: Even as over a hundred Bharatiya Janata Party leaders from Kashmir were apprehended to resign from the party “due to differences”, sources said the disgruntled leaders were fed up of the top leadership’s “attitude towards them and emerging sycophancy.”
Sources said some of the leaders of the party believed that the top most BJP leaders in Jammu and Kashmir were sidelining them to give space to a “new crop chamchas.”
Sources said the differences had been surfacing for the last few months whereby the leaders who are “loyal to the party since time when nobody from Kashmir would join the BJP were being sidelined to benefit some turncoats.”
Sources said the leaders who are associated with the party for years and “braved threats of sorts to stand by the party” are being sidelined even in decision-making whereby some “chamchas, who have switched parties are getting more attention.”
Sources said such disgruntled leaders feel that “there was discrimination with them undermining our sacrifices.”
Sources said during a meeting with party President Ravinder Raina, the leaders told him that new faces who are resorting to sycophancy before some leaders from Kashmir were being given “more power and respect at the cost of seniors who stood for the party in the testing times.”
Sources said the some of the senior leaders were being ignored even at party rallies where the new faces would take chair at the podium.
“The people who have kept changing their political ideologies or took shelter in this party for personal benefits are being given boost at the cost of seniors,” said a party insider.
He said the controversy had erupted some months ago and that “instead of taking corrective measures the party was being misused by two-three leaders calling the shots and making their own army of chamchas.”
Ravinder Raina however has refuted the “rumors that any of the leaders would resign.” He said the issues have been resolved and that the party is preparing for the upcoming elections.
