Early Times Report POONCH, Aug 20: The 3-day Multi-Media Exhibition (ICOP) focusing on various government initiatives and schemes, including "Seva Sushasan aur Karib Kalyan," "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat," "Mission LiFE," "G-20 Presidency at Base Camp," and "Shri. Buddha Amarnath Ji Yatra," concluded at College Ground, Poonch. The Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP) was organized by the Central Bureau of Communication Poonch, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, from August 18 to 20, 2023. The concluding function was attended by prominent individuals such as Narinder Suri, District Nodal Officer Shri Buddha Amarnath Ji Yatra, Poonch, Parvez Ahmed Khan, Deputy Chief Medical Officer Poonch, Ghulam Nabi Mir, Head of All India Radio (AIR), Poonch. Ghulam Abbas, Joint Director of Central Bureau of Communication J&K, Ladakh, presided over the function. During the event, Narinder Suri emphasized the importance of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) in transforming India into an equitable and vibrant knowledge society. He praised the organization of the programme, stating that it is effective and beneficial for the people of the area. Ghulam Abbas, Joint Director of Central Bureau of Communication, J&K, Ladakh, highlighted the government's focus on uplifting the poor through various centrally sponsored schemes and programs. He mentioned that the awareness programs conducted by CBC are aimed at reaching every corner of J&K and Ladakh. Ghulam Nabi Mir expressed how awareness programs on government schemes play a crucial role in reaching deserving individuals at the grassroots level. He encouraged the audience to become ambassadors for spreading knowledge about the schemes they've learned about during the event. Expert lectures on various schemes related to Health, Agriculture, Jal Shakti, Sheep Husbandry, and Animal Husbandry were delivered by representatives from respective departments. Stalls were set up by the ICDS Department, Social Welfare Department, Rural Development Department, Health Department, and Jal Shakti PHE Department. The event included an open quiz and cultural programs. The winners of the open quiz, participants from various institutions, resource persons, and individuals who contributed to the event were honored by CBC, Poonch. The program aimed to increase awareness and understanding of the government's initiatives and schemes among the local population. |
