Shiv Sena extends support to Jammu Bandh, accuses BJP of neglecting main issues | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 24: The Jammu and Kashmir unit of Shiv Sena (UBT) has declared its support for the Jammu bandh organized by the Chamber on August 26th. The bandh is a response to the ongoing issues surrounding the Sarol toll plaza and the detention of Yuva Rajput Sabha leaders. In a press release from the party's state office, Manish Sahni, the state chief of Shiv Sena, criticized the BJP for allegedly diverting public attention away from important issues such as smart prepaid meters, property tax, inflation, unemployment, and the rising incidents of drug abuse and crime. Sahni noted that despite both MPs from the Jammu division being members of the BJP and a BJP government in power at the center, there seems to be a lack of urgency in addressing even minor demands like the closure of the toll plaza. He further criticized the state BJP leaders for maintaining silence on these issues. The Jammu bandh, supported by Shiv Sena, highlights the growing discontent and frustration among the public regarding these matters, as they believe that these pressing concerns are not being given the attention they deserve. |
