DC kick starts Digital Week celebrations at Kupwara

KUPWARA, Aug 31: The digital Week celebrations-2023 were kickstarted today at Kupwara district with the inaugration of Stalls set up by various departments showcasing their digital /Online services by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan at playground of Govt. Higher Secondary School Kupwara . The event witnessed massive participation of public, PRIs and students. During the event, different departments put up their stalls depicting varied online services offered by them. The resource persons of the departments motivated the public to avail the benefits of the same.
The resource persons also highlighted the e-governance initiatives launched by the government to promote transparency, accountability and responsive working culture in departments.
Sensitizing the people about the objectives of the digital services, they maintained that the celebrations are aimed at making the public aware of the digital initiatives of Government.
Mobile vans were also flagged-off today by ARTO Kupwara in collaboration with District Information Centre Kupwara disseminating the information regarding digital transformation.
The DDC on the occasion said that during the weeklong celebration, the citizens would be imparted awareness about online services being provided by different departments.
She also said that the Government has launched many digital services in all the major departments which will bring ease to the public and transparency in delivery of services to the citizens.
The DDC said that the e-services have greatly benefited the public and brought transparency in the working of public offices.
The Week long activities " Celebration of digital week 2023, a step towards " Digital Empowerment of Citizens" are being organised w.e.f 31 August, 2023 to September 6th in the premises of Govt. Degree College Kupwara, Degree College Tangdhar, Degree College Langate, Degree College Kralpora, Degree College Sogam, and Environmentall Hall and in all Panchayats of the district Kupwara.
