International art exhibition online by JKCCA opens

Jammu, Sept 3: The 15th International Art Exhibition (Online) organized by Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu was inaugurated today by Sh. V S Rahi, veteran artist & former Vice- President All India Fine Arts & Crafs Society (AIFACS), Bew Delhi. The exhibition has been dedicated to Late (Smt.) Gobind Kour, the 1st Contemporary Woman Sculptor of Jammu. The art works of well known artists of various countries alongwith the upcoming artists of the country have been put on display in this show. The exhibition has been curated by O P Sharma, artist & Director, JKCCA.
In his message V S Rahi wrote, “I have learnt that Gobind Kour had proved her capabilities and proficiency in the field of sculpture (portrait, figurative and abstract) as well as print making and drawing mediums. She had been the recipient of many prestigious awards from different organizations of the country.”
In his message O P Sharma Director JKCCA wrote, “International Art Exhibition in the loving memory of Late (Smt.) Gobind Kaur, 1st Contemporary Woman Sculptor of Jammu, would be a real tribute to the artist in a right direction to show respect to the artist, and acknowledge her contribution in the field of visual arts. He informed that the art works of seventy five artists from different countries would give a glimpse of the art works of the artists working at different places in the world in their own styles, mediums and mediums He added that JKCCA is working for the development, promotion and propagation uf art, culture & literature in the Union Territory of J&K, and has so far it has organized hundreds of activities in the field of art, culture & languages at state, national and international level.
