Daal Mein Kaala: Sajad Lone’s PC dissolves his native Kupwara office | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 3: Even as the Peoples Conference, President and former Minister, Sajad Lone has started a series of meetings with his cares from the home district of Kupwara, the PC dissolved its district body. “As per the directive of Provincial President, the Kupwara District body has been dissolved and all district office bearers relieved of their duties. Senior leader @bashirdar01 has been directed to make two District political units & compile a list of office bearers within 7 days,” the PC said in a statement. While the PC has been seemingly trying to downplay the matter as a routine exercise, political observers have raised questions. “Look at the timings of the dissolution of the district body and decision to give charge into the hands of the fresh office bearers,” said a political analyst adding “All doesn’t seem to be well in the party.” It’s pertinent to mention that in the last few days Sajad Lone held a series of meetings with the cadres from Kupwara, his home town. Sources said the PC looks ahead to strengthen its party ahead of the Urban Local Body and Panchayat polls. The PC looks at that National Conference as a major threat in the polls with Sajad Lone having told media that the NC could opt for alliance with the BJP in the coming times. As per the sources, the PC is facing issues with some of its cadres who have been moving around as “independent individuals” and not as party members. A senior leader of the PC from north Kashmir is believed to be having some “issues” with the party leadership in particular. The sources said party looks ahead to resolve all such issues before the upcoming ULB and Panchayat elections so that the party also focuses on Parliament elections scheduled for May 2024. Despite repeated attempts the PC leaders were not available for comments. |
