Congress accused of supporting China in Belgium, Rahul Gandhi called to explain: Kavinder | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 8: Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister, Kavinder Gupta, has criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for allegedly showing support to China during a press conference held in Belgium as part of his Europe tour. In a strongly worded statement against Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party, Kavinder Gupta, a prominent BJP figure from Jammu and Kashmir, claimed that the Congress party's close ties with China have once again become evident during Rahul's visit to Europe. He accused Rahul Gandhi of promoting the narrative that China's Belt and Road Initiative is superior and that India is incapable of offering an alternative or competing with China in this regard. Gupta stated that Rahul Gandhi, along with other Congress leaders, appears to be under the influence of Chinese leadership, much like his family has been in the past. He called on Rahul to refrain from making statements that undermine India's reputation on the international stage. Gupta suggested that if Congress leaders have such admiration for China, they should consider moving to that country, as their anti-India stances are not in the best interest of the nation. Gupta expressed concern about the alignment of the Congress party with China's stance on the issue of changing India's official name to "Bharat." He suggested that there might be a hidden agenda against India in this alignment, as there seems to be no logical reason for China to comment on India's internal matters related to its name change. He cited historical instances where Congress leaders, including Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, had allegedly made concessions to China that were detrimental to India's interests. In conclusion, Gupta called on the people of India to recognize the Congress party's actions and consider whether the party's compromises and alignments are in the best interest of the country. He implied that it might be time for the nation to reject the Congress party for its alleged willingness to prioritize its vested interests over the welfare of India. |
