Early Times Report SAMBA, Sept 11: As part of the ongoing crackdown on illegal mining under the directives of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, the police in Samba district have seized eight additional vehicles that were being used for illegal mining. The police teams, led by officers including SHO Police Station Bari Brahmana Sumit Sharma, SHO Police Station Vijaypur Sandeep Charak, SHO Police Station Samba Daljit Singh, Incharge Police Post Rakh Amb Talli ASI Ramesh Chander, and Incharge Police Post Supwal ASI Balbir Kumar, operated under the supervision of DySP Garu Ram, SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar, SDPO Bari Brahmana Rahul Nagar, and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary. They successfully seized eight vehicles that were involved in illegal mining at various locations across Samba district. The seized vehicles include four dumpers with registration numbers JK02CK-0835, JK21G-8766, JK21D-4532, JK14F-1957, three tractor trolleys with registration numbers JK11C-6310, JK21F-1024, JK21J-5198, and one tractor trolley without a registration number. Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh, reported that a total of 142 vehicles have been seized by Samba police over the past eight months in their concerted efforts to combat illegal mining. He emphasized that the police would continue their vigilant efforts to curtail the activities of the mining mafia until illegal mining is completely eradicated in the district. |
