JAMMU, Sept 12: The Department of Physical Education, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), at Government Degree College, Mahanpur, recently organized an enlightening awareness program on the "Importance of Yoga in Daily Life." The event, held under the esteemed guidance of the college's Principal, Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, was skillfully conducted by Dr. Sapna Devi.
The highlight of the event was a guest lecture delivered by the renowned Angraz Singh, a distinguished resource person. Mr. Singh shared profound insights with the students about the pivotal role of Yoga in our day-to-day lives. He emphasized that Yoga isn't merely a physical exercise but a holistic practice that offers a multitude of benefits, both mentally and physically.
During his lecture, Singh underscored the significance of Yoga in addressing and even curing various psychological problems. He explained how the practice of Yoga can provide individuals with tools to manage stress, anxiety, and depression, ultimately leading to a more balanced and contented life.
Furthermore, Singh's discourse illuminated the audience on the transformative power of Yoga in maintaining overall health and well-being. He encouraged everyone present to integrate Yoga into their daily routines, highlighting its potential to keep individuals healthy, physically fit, and emotionally stable.
The event witnessed an impressive turnout, with a substantial number of students and esteemed faculty members gracing the occasion. Notable attendees included Dr. Balbinder Singh, Prof. Arvind Kumar, Prof. Meena Devi, Dr. Parshotam Dass, Saurabh Dutta (Librarian), Dr. Hilal Ahmed Bhutt, Dr. Ajay Manhas, Dr. Sardar Bhatti, and Prof. Suman.
