| 800 grams of ganja recovered by Police station Janipur Jammu, One peddler arrested | | |

Jammu, Sept 12: Continuing it’s drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved major success by recovering 800 grams of ganja from one accused person in the jurisdiction of PS Janipur. A police team of PS Janipur led by SDPO West Vikram Singh assisted by SHO PS Janipur Inspr Sikander Singh while on patrolling duty at Patoli Park, Janipur area rounded up a suspected person. During search 800 grams of ganja was recovered from the possession of accused later identified as Sudama Nirala S/o Tika Ram R/o Chattisgarh A/P Near Amba Theatre, Janipur, Jammu.
In this regard, Case FIR No. 93/2023 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act got registered at PS Janipur and accused got arrested.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
Jammu police is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused is going on to know the origin of the drugs supply chain.
