Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 4: The "Meri Maati Mera Desh" Campaign, a nationwide initiative inaugurated by Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Sh. Narendra Modi, has gained momentum in its second phase, set to run from 1st to 13th October 2023. The campaign, bearing the tagline Mitti ko naman, veeron ka vandan, aims to foster a sense of unity and patriotism by celebrating India's soil and valour while commemorating the nation's journey of freedom and progress. To mark the beginning of this crucial phase, NSS Volunteers, students, and staff of Government Degree College (GDC) Sidhra came together to undertake the Panch Pran Pledge. This pledge underscores five essential principles aimed at propelling India towards becoming a developed country by its 100th Independence Day. The event was conducted under the patronage of Dr. B. B. Anand, Principal of GDC Sidhra, and received active support and coordination from key figures within the college community. Dr. Mehmood Ahmed, PO NSS Unit, Prof Deepa Kak, Dr. Anu Sharma, Dr. Satbir Kour, and Dr. Rudrika Khajuria were instrumental in ensuring the program's success. By taking the solemn pledge, the volunteers and students reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to their country's development and progress. The "Meri Maati Mera Desh" Campaign continues to inspire individuals and communities across India to actively participate in shaping the nation's future as it embarks on the journey towards its 100th year of Independence. |
