UIET Kathua Campus (JU) hosts insightful industrial workshop

KATHUA, Oct 5: In a collaborative effort between the University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Kathua Campus, University of Jammu, and Shardeum, an industrial workshop titled "Blockchain and Web3" was organized for students, bringing the latest advancements in technology to the forefront.
Chirag Ravishankar, a seasoned expert in the fields of blockchain and Web3, served as the workshop's key presenter. His extensive knowledge and experience captivated the audience through insightful presentations and engaging hands-on demonstrations.
The workshop delved deep into the fundamentals of blockchain technology, shedding light on its real-world applications and its transformative potential. Mr. Ravishankar emphasized the pivotal role of blockchain in revolutionizing various sectors, including finance, healthcare, and supply chain management. Moreover, participants were introduced to the concept of Web3, the next phase of internet evolution characterized by decentralization and user-centric applications. He encouraged students to envision themselves as pioneers in the Web3 space, highlighting the numerous opportunities it offers for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Rector of Kathua Campus at the University of Jammu, commended the collaborative initiative between UIET Kathua Campus (JU) and Shardeum. She expressed her satisfaction with the workshop's success, showcasing UIET's dedication to providing students with hands-on experiences and exposure to emerging technologies. Dr. Kilam emphasized that the workshop created a collaborative and inclusive environment, fostering networking opportunities among like-minded individuals. She also noted that the workshop not only sparked curiosity and exploration but also instilled confidence in students to embrace emerging technologies.
Dr. Sourabh Shastri, In-Charge Coordinator of UIET Kathua Campus (JU), extended a warm welcome to the workshop's resource person. He highlighted that the workshop provided all participants with a comprehensive introduction to the latest tools and technologies that are at the forefront of shaping the future landscape of blockchain and Web3.
