PM Modi inaugurates, lays foundation stones for multiple projects in Jodhpur, Rajasthan | | | Jodhpur, Rajasthan, Oct 5: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for multiple projects in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, with an estimated total value of around Rs 5000 crores. These projects span various sectors, including healthcare, transportation, education, and infrastructure. Key Highlights: Trauma Centre and Critical Care Hospital Block: PM Modi laid the foundation stone for a 350-bed Trauma Centre and Critical Care Hospital Block at AIIMS, Jodhpur. This facility will enhance healthcare services, especially for trauma and emergency cases. Critical Care Blocks: Seven Critical Care Blocks under the Pradhan Mantri - Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) were inaugurated, further strengthening healthcare infrastructure in Rajasthan. New Terminal Building at Jodhpur Airport: PM Modi inaugurated the development of a state-of-the-art New Terminal Building at Jodhpur Airport. This facility will provide services to 2,500 passengers during peak hours and boost tourism in the region. IIT Jodhpur Campus: The Prime Minister dedicated the IIT Jodhpur campus to the nation. This institution will contribute to high-quality education and research initiatives. Central University of Rajasthan: PM Modi inaugurated infrastructure upgrades at the Central University of Rajasthan, including a central instrumentation laboratory, staff quarters, and a yoga & sports sciences building. He also laid the foundation stone for a Central Library, a 600-capacity hostel, and a dining facility for students. Road Development Projects: The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for several road development projects, including the four-laning of Karwar to Dangiyawas Section of Jodhpur Ring Road, construction of seven bypasses/realignments on NH-325, and four-laning of Pachpadra-Bagundi section of NH-25. These projects will enhance connectivity, trade, and economic growth. Rail Projects: PM Modi flagged off two new train services in Rajasthan, the Runicha Express connecting Jaisalmer to Delhi, and a heritage train connecting Marwar Jn. to Khambli Ghat. Additionally, he dedicated the doubling of the 145 km long Degana-Rai Ka Bagh rail line and the 58 km long Degana-Kuchaman City rail line. In his address, PM Modi praised the rich heritage and culture of Rajasthan and emphasized the state’s importance in India’s development. He highlighted the government’s efforts to improve infrastructure, healthcare, education, and connectivity in Rajasthan, aiming to make it a hub of medical and engineering education. The Prime Minister underscored the significance of modern infrastructure projects, such as the Jamnagar Expressway and Delhi Mumbai Expressway, in Rajasthan’s development. He also mentioned the focus on electrifying rail lines in the state to reduce pollution and promote clean transportation. PM Modi concluded by expressing confidence in India’s progress and development, emphasizing that Rajasthan’s development is integral to the nation’s growth. The event was attended by Governor of Rajasthan Shri Kalraj Mishra, Union Ministers Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Kailash Choudhary, among others. |
